I can not find a stand up shower base with the correct drain. Cani put a 45 or 90 connection on it or does it have to go straight down?

Got to tell you! You pipe to the drain not attempt tp fit the drain to the pipe. Having said that tell me a little about your situation. What will the shower base set on? If you're forced to pipe from the drain to the trap do you have enough room to do it? A straight shot fron drain to trap is always better. Too many chances to get clogs and bad smells. Is it possible to move the trap and raiser, even if you have to break concrete to do it? Tell me more about your set up. Regards, Tom

Got to tell you, I have never installed one before so I don't really know much. The drain in the plastic part it came with is about 2 inches off my drain. What I am working with is just what the builders left me, a pipe coming out of the ground. So I'm not really too sure what all I have to do. Maybe this is stupid but can I not just place the shower in and conect the pipe?

The riser from the trap should go straight up. I don't think you will even have enough room to put in 45 or 90. But if you manage to glue in 90 ell than it will slow down flow of water from your shower pan...

Do this: Cut the horizontal drain pipe before it reaches trap, extend it with short piece of pipe and 2 couplings and reglue old trap exactly in location you want.
