    Multi voltage HID ballasts
Outdoor pole lights; 208volt feed: can I legally use the 120v lead to run 42watt CFL's and remove 100-250volt MH or HPS lamps?

    Stratmando

You could convert wiring to 120 volts only and use CFL's

Does that answer my question? 2000 ft at 120v you do the math.

What question? The original question is extremely vague.

Do you want to use CFLs in place of the MH Lamps? Using the HID ballast?
If this is the question then no, you cannot do this.

What 120v lead are you talking about? The 120v lead coming from the ballast? If so, again no. That is the input lead.

If you have 208V feeding these fixtures you can use a 208v fixture or convert the whole circuit to 120v and bypass the ballast inside the fixtures.

Where does 2000 feet come into play? You said nothing about this in the OP.

Can you tell us what it is you want to do exactly?
