I'm 14 and my boyfriend of 3 and a half years is 17, we haven't don't anything beyond kissing and we plan to keep it that way until I'm at the age of concent. I love him a lot, and he loves me too. We have talked about marriage and children, and he asked me to marry him. I said yes, but were waiting until were out of school first.im a freshman and he's a sofomore, he got he got held back for 2 years, he can't stay out of trouble:P. since we have been together for this long, will it still be okay for us to be together when he turns 18? If not, what should I do? Because I never want to loose him.

Please tell me your opinion if its okay and what I should do. I would REALLY appreciate it. :):):)

Well, he acts completely different aroun me than he does his friends, when he's around them he's just one of the guys, but he still doesn't ignore me. When its just me and him all of his attention goes toward me and he's the sweetist guy I've ever met. I remember for valentines day he got me a bunch of dasies(my favorite flower, I don't even remember telling him they were) a big teddy bear and a card that he made himself(hes not an artist;) but it was sweet). Later my best friend megan told me that he had asked her what my favorite flower was.:) I was so surprised.plus, the day after valentines day was our 3 year anniversary.. lol.. and he took me to the mall and let me drag him around for a few hours:)

But sometimes, its just wayyy confusing, my dad wes mad I was seeing him because of the age difference when he and his wife have a 16 year age difference.

I'm sorry, but I am still stuck on the fact that this guy you are "dating" is almost 18 and is still a sophomore in high school... I am clueless as to how that happens. You have to TRY to screw up to make it that bad...

Your dad is a grown man. When you are both adults then your age difference won't be as relevant.

Right now you are too young to be dating and your parents can charge him with statutory rape after he turns 18, whether you want them to or not.

My mom likes my boyfriend, she has full custody, and I never go to my dads anymore.

My dad is 38, his wife is 22, and they started dateing when she was 16. So I didn't want to hear anything about this from him.

No I'm from houston TX, but I live in Kentucky, my boyfriend is from Nevada, and my dad is from Tennessee, he's about as hick as you can get too.:P

Ahh... Kentucky... that explains things a bit. I would imagine the laws on underage dating in Kentucky are a bit more relaxed than most other states.

Honestly if you were my daughter I wouldn't shoot you, but I would shove my shotgun so far up his butt, he would burp buckshot. I understand how your dad feels, and I'm in Texas, not Tennessee.

Glad to hear your not having sex, and plan to wait though. That's a good thing!

Aside from his age, I don't see any good qualities in this guy. But let me recap to make sure I got it right.

He must not be that bright since he got left back twice or it might be due to his trouble ways. You said he is always getting into trouble especially when he's around his friends, so I guess he is a follower not a leader. And I am sure he knows right from wrong but choosing to do wrong instead of right. Oh, to top it off you love him and he promise you a white house with a picket fence. Oneday, your going wake up and since your not getting proper guidance from your family this situation is even sadder. But this guy isn't right for you and you think it's love but its not. I wonder how much your going love him when you only get to see him once a week.
