    Terminate Lease
How can I terminate my lease legally without having to pay all of the fees? (I live in Ga). The apartments I stay in are horrible and I'm at my wits end. They won't repair ANYTHING and the ants are atrocious! I've complained and complained and the property manager is NEVER available to talk. The whole business office is NASTY among other issues. Can someone please help!!

First you have to document that they are creating an uninhabitable condition. This may mean getting health and/or building inspectors to check the premises. Once that is done, an repairs are not made, you can send them a notice of termination for due cause.

I would look for a tenant's association in your area/state, that can help you with getting the inspections and the necessary forms.

    Hello f:

Certainly, DO what Scott suggested. Plus, keep on complaining, but start doing it in WRITING, and keep a copy.
