W-2 Pre-tax Retirement Contribution Not Shown
So my retirement contributions are not included on my W-2 form in any form as taxable income?

Are retirement contributions that are pre-tax different than deferred comp that are pre-tax relative to deductions of taxable income? Why are my deferred comp contributions showing on my w-2, but not my 401a contributions? My employer does a 8% match on my 4% contribution.

    Thanks!

    Angela:

That is correct. Your 401K or other pre-tax retirement contributions are NOT reflected on your Box 1 salary on the W-2.
