    Loud vibrating pipes after flushing!
    Hello there!
Lately when we flush the toilet, the cold water pipe starts vibrating furiously, and I don't know what I can do to stop it.

Anyone know what the problem and solution is?

I'll check threads and see if I can pick up some wisdom on this listserv,

Thank you EVER so much for your time!

Specifically when does the vibration start and stop. As soon as the toilet starts to refill or not till the tank is amost full. Most vibrations are from a loose or worn washer some where in the line to the toilet. If the vibration starts right when the tank begins to refill I would check the small valve under the toilet for a bad washer. If the noise starts when the tank is amost full check the washer in the fill valve in side the toilet. You can put a screw driver blade on the part you suspect and listen through the handle. The part that makes the loudest noise is the most likley cause. Good Luck

Thank you so much, Dan! I shall look and see, and hope I can recognize a valve when I see one! (I'll read up on it)

I think it starts immediately after flushing, so I'll look for a small valve under the toilet.

Many, many thanks, and many more,

I have a similar problem with pipe vibration "after" the toilet tank has been filled. It appears to come from inside the wall. Any ideas on how to fix?
