When called to testitfy before the grand jury , can you refuse
If you want to be jailed for refusing to testify, yes, you can refuse.
Or you can retain an Attorney and argue your right NOT to testify against yourself.
Otherwise - no, you can't refuse and simply walk away from a case.

You may invoke your Fifth Amendment right to keep silent if the answer would tend to incriminate you.
