Water Line to Ice Maker Leaks
Hello. I am having problems with keeping the water line tubing staying on the connector to the ice maker in my refrigerator. When the ice maker is ready to get the water, somehow the pressure makes the tubing come off the connector. The clamp that is on the connector is as tight as I can get it. Additionally, I've put some duct tape on the hose to keep it from moving but it doesn't seem to matter. The water leaks out. Any help would be appreciated.

If your connector looks like this, (see image) then you're using the wrong size.
Ice maker lines are 1/8th" ID and I'll bet you're attempting to make a 1/4" compression coupling work. What material's your ice maker line? Copper or -plastic? Let me know, Tom

You will need a PVC conpression fitting with inserts for plastic tubing. You did install the inserts didn't you? Let me know. Tom
