99 Accord Dash Lights Nonoperational When Headlights On
I own a 99 Honda Accord and I have recently installed a new Pioneer Stereo system. After the install I noticed in the nighttime my dash lights for my speedometer and such do not illuminate when the headlights are on. However when the headlights are in the off position my mileage and regular icon lights do illuminate. For example the "Check Engine" lights, Oil, and the grid showing whether a door is open or not do light up when the lights are in the on or off position. So when I turn on my lights the only thing that happens is the mileage light shuts off and my speedometer does not come on at all. Any Ideas?

Which wire did you tap into for power to the stereo? You may be taking too much power for the stereo and not leaving enough to power the dash lights or you may have crossed the stereo lighting inadvertently.
You may want to dis-install the stereo power feeds and reroute them to the original stereo's power feed.

Well noticing that problem I did do that. I put the old stereo back in and I still had the same problem. Its something else.
