I terminated my rental lease 2 month early because I was laid-off in a company where I lived and moved to another state for a job. I gave my landlord one month (28 days actually in Feb) oral notice and cleaned my apartment (including professionally cleaning up the carpet) before I moved out. When I asked for refunding my security deposit, my landlord refused it. Can I get my SD back from the Small Claim Court? Thanks.
