    Deportation for felony
    Hi,

Can anybody tell me if there is a law that permits the US government to deport a permanent resident for having a felony? My dad is in jail right now and he is worried because he might be deported.

He can be deported no matter what kind of crime he committed. Better consult experienced immigration attorney before removal proceeding starts.. the sooner the better.

Don't bother trying to fight deportation - attorneys will take the $$ and make promises.. your dad will sit in prison and in the end.. will be deported.. trust me it happened to my husband he sat in prison for an extra two years while we fought to no avail... wish I had the attorney fees back... and it does not matter what offense.
