We always had great water-presure till a "surge-over-flow tank" was install over our hot-water tank,. we first though this decreased our water pressure,. then realized this wasent the cause:... The plumer decreased presue when new water line went in, and new pressure regulator:... The average house pressure's 45 PSI. Having said that To adjust the PRV valve, ( Loosen the lock nut. For more pressure, turn the adjusting screw down ( clockwise ); orFor less pressure, turn the adjusting screw up ( counter clockwise ). Retighten the Lock Nut so the adjusting screw cannot turn on its own. Good luck, tom

The range of normal residential water pressure is from 30 to 80 psi. Ideally, the pressure should be set between 45 and 60 pounds in most residential plumbing system. If the pressure rises too high particularly above 80 psi, plumbing fixtures and appliances (primarily hot water heaters) could be damaged or leak excessively.

Attach are the pictures of the PRV, will show the screen and will show hot to adjust the water pressure, loosen the lock nut turn the screw in will increase the pressure out will decrease the pressure before you attempt to adjust the pressure make sure you have a water pressure test gauge, see the image, good luck.
