How can NRA status person file return in US
    Hi,

    I was in US from 31st May 2008 to 27th Nov 2008.
Can I file my return online through taxactonline.com site?
What are the things should I need to taking care of before filing?

How much % of return can I expect?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Number of days spent in the U.S. in 2006, 2007 and 2008? Your visa?
It appears that you will file nonresident tax return, which can not be filed on line. Must be paper return.

My visa is L1B and I was there for 181 days only in 2008 not before that.
If I have filed online through taxactonline.com then what needs to be done to correct?

You are nonresident. You will file Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ, which can not be efied. Most of the software do not do nonresident tax return.
Download from from Internal Revenue Service and complete the return. The mail the paper return.
You should get professional help as you may miss some of the travel expense deductions that you can take.
