Yes, it is perfectly normal. It just means your baby is very active. The only real downside is the worry you get when they take a break from it.
Absolutely normal.
I am 22 weeks now, and trust me those kicks and hits just get harder. Totally normal... and isn't it the best feeling ever?
Just imaginating how strong those kicks will get in a couple of weeks lolll
Enjoy... :)
Thanks doula
With my 1st pregnancy I felt the baby move @ 14 weeks :)
You know I've been feeling movement since 12 weeks and regular movement since 14 weeks, so it is possible and normal. At 23 weeks now, the kicks have gotten harder and stronger. Don't be too startled if you wake up in the middle of the night from a nice swift kick to the belly... hee hee. Also, like mccabe said above, somedays the movement won't be as much, so don't freak out! If you get concerned, just eat what the baby likes or lye on your left side, and there (he?) will be, kicking butt and taking names. Hee Hee
They are all so different, my first was a boy.. really lazy.. I had to poke my belly to get a response! Once born until now (6 an a half years later still very lazy, bless him!
My second was kicking etc from about 15 weeks.. so much all of the time I couldn't sit, lay or walk without constant wriggling.. working nightshifts were hell.. she dictated how I would sit! Low and behold it was my daughter who is now 4 and doesn't sit still.. tries to dictate with me all the time! And last but not least my 10 month old never moved.. I was always put on monitoring charts and checked more often once a day I was lucky to feel anything.. along came my 3rd who is another girl but she is so laid back she's almost horizontal! Can't be bothered to crawl just gets her big brother and sister to fetch things! Good luck with your delightful wriggler!! I wonder if it'll be a little wriggler on the outside!! X
I'm sure you are enjoying every minute of it because despite feeling battered internally I loved it all.. I get sooo broody that I felt my best option was to train as a midwife.. I start in September! Can't wait!
Haha! I could do it all over again.. I loved the whole pregnancy thing and giving birth right up to the present day with my 3 little ones... never say never!! My husband jokes about just one more but I want to be me again! (well for now anyway!! :p) Thank you for your sweet wishes! ;)
Waow how cool jenvers79 wishing you well on your training being a doula
