St Louis Taxes in NJ State Return
    Sir,

I am a NJ resident and worked in St Louis, MO for few days. For that, I was taxed both by state of Missouri and St Louis city.

Can I take deduction for both these taxes on my NJ state return Schedule A?

    Thanks
    Praveen

If you are present in a state, then any income earned during this period, must be reported to the state.

You MO income may be less than the MO filing requirements.

To your resident state, you must report your worldwide income for the year or for the residency period. If you paid taxes to another state, then you will claim credit for those taxes.
