    Disc space utilization
    Hi,

I would like to monitor users about their server resource comsumption and utilization, are there any ways I can alert them? (especially what percentage of disc space they have left in the event of a minor or major disaster or data loss)

Windows 2000 and 2003 have an inbuilt Quotas system for doing exactly this task.
Here's the Micro$oft way of doing it and Here's one with pictures

    Have fun

Thanks for the helpful info, is Quotas available for server system? I want to have a system that has the capability to better manage files stored and alert users of disc space usage.

Yep the inbuilt Quota system does exactly what you are looking for including denying further storgae space to users who reach their quotas.
This works for all Windoze from 2000 upwards, both desktop and server OS's

Can Quotas allow users to see what on the server network disc usages? (percentage of capacity - individual shares)

My focus is on disc space utilization and I'd like to work on 'poor man's portal' for monitoring this on share file systems, especially accessible charts, graphs, metrics, etc.
