We have just built a new home . We've lived here for 3 months but for some reason in the master bathroom the toilet has a very strong septic odor. I clean once or twice a week, why do we have a srong odor in that one toilet? The other bathroom gets cleaned on the same scedule; we have two kids and two adults, I do laundry every day and run the dishwasher every other we all have a shower or a bath every day. Do you have any answers. Thank you

Sounds like slight backflow. Is the odor coming from the toilet BOWL? Or floor? Or drains in the tub or sink? Isolate that, and you can take the next step!

If your odor's coming from the toilet bowl the wax seal may nave ruptured. You wouldn't necessarily have any water but sewer gas could escape every time you flushed or drained a fixture. The solution, if that's it<would be to pull and reset the toilet with a new wax seal. Good luck, Tom
