What should I do!

Okay, my ex girlfriend now ex friend is dating a 28 year old, she is 16 so without any regards its illegal.. she will be 17 in 3 months so it will still be illegal he will be 29 by the end of the year. This is an online relationship, and the male if from Texas we are in the Northeast. Now I've tried my best to talk to her about but she got fed up and listened to her boyfriend and best friend and chose to never speak to me again, So she won't listen to me anymore as if she ever did. Now after the friendship ended. I was going to notify her parents about her relationship seeing as I couldn't do anything and they easily could ban her from seeing him and close all communication if.. they didn't accept the relationship which I'm pretty sure they wouldn't. Now I was going too but I found out recently that her mom's medical issues were resurfacing and if I had told her. She could have easily obtained a heart attack. Others are telling me to go to her father, man-man talk but both parents are always home so in any case it would end up being a talk to both of them most likely, her parents are unaware that me and her aren't friends anymore. I know the consequences of the relationship and I know without a doubt he is going to try and sleep with her or get any sexual action with her. She won't believe me and listen to me and question why he is dating her. I honestly don't know what I can do?

Any options?

I agree that you should talk to the parents. Your friend is not thinking the consequences through of her actions and she won't.

How do you believe that they will have a physical relationship when he is in Texas and you are in the Northeast?

Is the relationship strickly online?

Yes, I would talk to her parents and say something like 'Your daughter told me she is seeing this older guy from the internet, and I am worried about her safety. I have tried to talk to her about it, but she has now cut off all communication with me.' Something along those lines. Even if you go straight to her dad, the mother is going to find out.

If you still don't feel right about talking to to mother, call the house or send a letter. But I think your friend should not be having ANY kind of relatioship with a man that much older than her. Even if it is just online.

Sadly, I wish it was.. befoire me and her went out they had plans to meet each other, when we went out she told me he was still planning on meeting her and they did. He is now working constantly to get enough money to visit her consistently.. might I add this guy is a pizza delivery guy.

Definitely talk to the parents.

It is not your business.Why are you making it your business?
She is 16 and this is an on line fantasy and chances are she will never even meet the guy.

It does not concern you and I agree it is a mistake but you sound like a jealous ex .

It is my business because I know, and it isn't a fantasy because he is planning on visiting her since he is saving up money to come up here on more than once occasion. I would be a jealous ex if it was her dating another guy that was around her age and not online. Maybe you should think the guy is 28 and has a job, and he plans to come up here.

I think the parents should be told. And they can chose to use the information however they want. If they don't think it's a threat; then you did all you could. But I think if you don't tell them and he ends up going to see her and things go bad.. you would regret telling her parents forever.
