Hi, I am in trouble. I got a dui about a year and a half ago. I did the mandatory jail time and went to see probation twice and then got laid off from a good job. I got way behind on bills and stopped going to probation. I just got pulled over going to my new job and was arrested for driving on suspended licence and a violation of probation for the dui.(first offence) I paid the 15000 dollar bail and they seized my truck. Is that legal? Can I lose my truck for this? I wasn't drunk I was at work. Does anyone know how much time I'm looking at for violating the probation? I went from a 100 though a year job to living in a hotel. Now as soon asd I get back on my feet its falling apart again. I know I am wrong I just need to know if I'm going to lose my truck and do time? Thanks in advance

I can tell you that you need a lawyer. Whatever is going to happen, it will be LESS if you have a good lawyer.

Someone can get your truck out of impound but do it fast as it is usually about a sixty dollar storage fee per day.Find out where they towed it to.What you have to do to get it released(paperwork,etc.)

My son just went through this whole suspended license thing and it was a nightmare.His was just for speeding and it cost him a fortune in fines.

Judges do not look too kindly on probation violation.I'm surprised you even had bail.

In some places and depending on the judge and a recommendation from your PO you could stand to do the duration of your initial probation.

Get a lawyer ,ASAP!
