    Wash water on ground
Hello.. Our house is for sale that we were renting. The washer drains through a PVC pipe into the yard. This nis how we purchased the house 11 years ago. There was no disclosure. Is it illegal? Thank you Valerie

    Hello Val:

It probably was, but it's too late now. The statute of limitations is going to stop you.

Probably - this is often the case with "grey water" and you/your tenants should be using biodegradable soap in the washer. The theory is you don't want "grey water" to fill up your septic system which should be treated monthly with enzymes to liquefy the "solids".
