I am interested in cancelling my ADT security service. Will my door entry chimes still work if I cancel?

I did cancel and my door (and window) chimes still work.

You may get a Trouble light showing a failure to communicate, not a problem, however if Transformer goes out, the trouble light will already be lit and you won't know of new troubles(low battery). Should work fine though.

On the assumption that ADT doesn't remove any component of your alarm system, other than not reporting alarms to their Call Centre, your system should work exactlt the same after ADT monitoring is cancelled as it did before (it was cancelled).

Did you have a purchase agreement still? It might tell you what will happen.

Once your relationship with ADT is cancelled, they may not be very interested in providing you much help. Suggest you take care of any issues (faulty equipment etc) first.

Also, you may find yourself wanting to make changes in your equipment &/or programming in the future. To do this you will need your equipment's "installer code" and perhaps access to the Control Panel (not the keypad). With some convincing and lots of patience/persistence, you should be able to convince ADT to give you a key (to the control panel) and to default the installer code to one they will give you.
