Low pressure with hot water
I've read through some of the posts, with regards to low hot water pressure and most point to problems with individual faucets. I've got a 59 year old, oil fired boiler heating system. It has a self contained 20 gallon hot water tank, which is sufficient for 2 people. I do not have a separate hot water heater.
The hot water pressure out of each faucet is very low. This includes the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and bathtub. The kitchen faucet was replaced approximately 5 years ago and from what I can remember, the pressure was not any better when this faucet was brand new.
I assume I need to check something on the heating system itself. The system used to have an expansion tank that I was able to drain, but that was replaced with a smaller tank, which contains a diaphragm. This tank was just replaced in Jan of 09, because I noticed water in the bucket by the heating system's drain.
What should I be looking for and what needs to be done, to correct this low pressure? Thanks for your assistance!
