    Father's parental rights of newborn
Texas: My newphew, Corey, is a new father, but his 20 yr old girlfriend (not his wife), is allowing her parents (not US citizens) to influence her to send their newborn to the great grandmother in another country (palou?? ) for the baby's first year. The mother's family is angry about the pregnancy and is denying my nephew a part in the baby's life. The girlfriend put her own last name on the baby's birth certificate, and not Corey's. The mother aborted a previous baby without Corey's knowledge and this child was not aborted ONLY because the mother was too far along. What rights does Corey have to be a part of the baby's life and to prevent her being sent overseas?

Corey needs to get into court like today and have his rights enforced/established. He has the same rights as the mother

As Steve said, he has the same rights as any father, but he has to enforce them through the courts. This means going to court immediately and filing for emergency custody and getting a restraining order enjoining the mother to not sending the child out of the country.

Once that is out of the way, the court can then hear how custody/support/visitation will be established.

P.S. I would be mad about the pregnancy too, if my 20 yr old daughter had TWO pregnancies by the same man.
