    1040X line 1 - 5
I am an international student with F1 visa entered US in year 2001.
I discovered I filed 1040NR EZ in year 2007 when I SHOULD HAVE filed 1040EZ. So, I figure out that I need to file 1040X along with 1040EZ for year 2007.

    Here are my questions.

    a) Since I am NOT reporting changes in income, should I feel out line 1-5 in 1040X?

    b) In year 2007 I was eligible for EIC, should I claim it or not?

    c) When I mail my forms, I just need to send 1040X and 2007 1040EZ, don't I ?

    I deeply appreciate your help.

    a) Yes, you must complete all the lines
    b) Yes, on resident return you may get EIC
    c) Form 1040x and 1040EZ.

Thank you so much, MukatA !

I was confused about feeling out 1040X (which supposedly straight forward form of all) because

    a) the direction comes with file indicated

"To amend Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ or to file the correct return, you must (a) fill in your name, address, and social security number (SSN) or IRS individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) on Form 1040X; and (b) attach the corrected return (Form 1040, Form 1040NR, etc.) to Form 1040X.
Across the top of the corrected return, enter “Amended.” Also, complete Part II of Form 1040X, including an explanation of the changes or corrections made."

    b) a self-claimed tax expert (whom I don't trust but reading the lines above already confused me) suggested that I should not feel out any of the numbered line because I file 1040X in order to change the form.
