Revision date of Ca. civil code 1945 making the new code 1945.5
    Hello.
I need to know when civil code 1945 was revised into 1945.5. I cannot find it anywhere on line.

    Does anyone know?

    Thank you!

    30 day notice to vacate
I understand, from civil code 1946, that a 30 day notice is require to vacate.

I have this in my lease as well as "30 days notice from rent due date".

Civil Code 1946 is not clear on whether it is from the rent due date and now I have been told that a tenant can move out, say March 20, and will only owe rent until April 20... that having been considered 30 days notice.

IF this is the case, then would my "30 days notice from rent due date" stand up in court?

    Thanks for any help.

Yes, the lease governs in this case.
