I have installed a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan light kit and everything works OK except the lights. The instructions say to connect the white wire in the kit to the white wire in the fixture, and the black wire in the kit to the blue wire in the fixture. It doesn't work-any ideas?

Most of the time there is a little sliding switch on the fan that turns the lights on and off. Check for that and try it in the other position. Good luck.

I have not seen any sliding switches for the light but many do have a slider to reverse the blade direction. Are there pull chians?

Check the wiring at the ceiling.
