Hello . I had my daughter in 2008 dec and now she is 3 months . When she was 4 weeks her father asked me to leave now he never signed th ebirth certifcate or any thing else doctor notes anything. Now I have a feeling his mother is trying to get him to fight for custody I have had her since she was born he saw her once since I have left . Has sent her 100$ and that's it I left in January when my duaghter turned a month can they take my baby?:confused:

Can they take her? Maybe. They would have to prove you unfit as a mother. And that's a hard thing to do.

More likely, they can get joint legal custody with visitation rights. You might want to head them off by filing for child support. If they do beat you to it by filing for custody, you still should file for support.
