I am unable to lite my kenmore power miser 9 water heater.I replaced the thermocouple.

Does your water heater have a standing pilot that you light with a match or some other flame. Or is it a pilot that you light with a piezo electric lighter.

Also does the pilot light but will not stay or does the pilot not light at all? If it does not light at all and you are pressing down on the pilot button, then I would sat to disassemble the pilot and clean the orifice int the pilot.

If the pilot is lighting but will not stay I suggest you make sure that the flame is hitting the thermocouple and if it is I would think either you have a bad thermocouple or the magnetic safety hold down for the pilot is bad and will have to be replaced if it is one that can be replaced.
