    Ceiling Fan Damaged
O.K. well a mean spirited tenant bent the fan blades down to about a 60 degree angle. I tried to bend them back up but now the whole thing wobbles and is not balanced. Is there anything I can do short of replacing it? It looks like a Hunter Augusta III model 21543 with three lights. Thanks. Dave

Your going to have to replace the blades with new ones. You will never get them bent back right... even the slighest improper pitch will cause massive wobbling... You migt get it on a low speed, but once you crank it up, you will know something isn't right...

I once broke the small piece out of a box fan blade, even through the piece was about the sie of a quarter, it never did balance right after that...

I don't think the blades are bent. I don't even think the metal brackett attached to the blades are bent. I think it's whatever the metal brackets are attached to on the fan motor are no longer flat. Because, there are these "metal skirts" around each metal bracket that have about an 8th inch gap between each bracket skirt. And, that gap is no longer straight but now taped until the "skirt" pieces touch at the bottom. I have no doubt this jerk knew what he was doing and did it intentionally.

I'm sending you balancing instructions but you may have to order new blade brackets from www.hunterfan.com
