    Bleach blond
Hi all... my natural colour is dark brown but I had blond put on the top and dark underneath my roots have gonr dark the rest is fine the hatrdresser wants £30 to do the roots... how easy is it to do it yourself thanks

It's not a big deal. You would do well to mount a three-sided mirror in your bathroom behind your normal mirror so you can see the back. Other than that, just be careful and avoid overlap.

It can be done yourself but it is a lot easier if you can get someone to help you.
And I agree with Perito, just don't overlap or you will have a white ring around your head!

Did you just bleach the entire section of your head? If you do lots (and I mean LOTS) of blonde tips it mixes with your original color but still looks blonde (hard to explain) I did this a while back and my regrowth was greatly reduced and when it did start to become obvious I just added more tips, it looks a lot more natural too :)

They wouldn't sell full strength hair bleach at chemists but if you go to a hairdresser supply shop you can pick up the peroxide powder and liquid for under $10

Then you will need a tipping cap, they are just like a swimming cap but have color coded holes in them to determine how much blond you want in your hair, also under $10 (I had to poke extra holes in mine for a full blond appearance.

You will also need a crochet hook to pull the strands of hair through the cap, about $2.

And lastly some tin foil to cover your head and keep to heat in while it bleaches down.

Make sure you read all the instructions on the peroxide bottle so you get to mix right :)
