Civil lawsuit for credit card debit
I have been served. What can I do to avoid going to court? Who should I call to set up a payment plan?

The only 100% guarantee to avoid Court is to pay it in full.

This question is posted frequently on the legal boards. More and more creditors are proceeding to Judgment to guarantee payment but then making payment arrangements. If you default they already have a Judgment and proceed to file liens and garnishment - if legal in your State.

The feeling appears to be that if you didn't meet the terms of your credit agreement once they are concerned you will meet the terms of the payment arrangement.
