If you have been actively trying for the last year and a half, you might want to see your doctor to have some initial testing done for both you and your boyfriend. The majority of couples will become pregnant within a year of trying... but sometimes it will naturally take longer so it may just be that as well.

Since I lost my baby my periods have been all over the place and some times I bleed longer than a week. Is this normal?

It's possible... depending on the reason(s) your doctor feels may be the cause of the irregular periods, he/she may suggest a few options... the most common is to actually go on birth control pills for a short time. This will sometimes cause cycles to regulate.

I lost my baby through an accident last year and I was 9 weeks. I will try the pill again to see if it goes back to normal. Thank you
