My boyfriend and I are both 21. He said he loves me, but he was not comfortable to have sex with me. But when we slept on a bed, he wanted to have oral sex with me. I think I am ready though. I don't understand why he could resist sex when he faced a girl he said he loves.

He might also have some religious or moral hangup - sometimes people separate oral sex from "real" sex.
If he's your boyfriend, you should be able to discuss this together.
If you have declined before, he may feel that he is pressuring you to have sex and doesn't want to damage your relationship.

Potential babymaking and very real fear of STD's can play a huge factor in this. Inexperience can be another. But we are just guessing at what's going through his mind.

He's not havint to resist sex if he is getting oral. Like a few posts said before it can even be better. If its going to be his first tim ehe is probably just nervous.
If you think you are ready for sex, you need to be ready to talk about it. You need to be able to go to the grocery store and buy condoms... If these things embarrass you to no end.. then you probably shouldn't be having sex yet.
I think he;s just scared of the risk of pregnancy but still horny.

Oral sex on a woman is not necessarily easy.
On a guy its usually some version of "push/pull/repeat" with the lips engaged.
With a woman, it can be completely different. One lover loved a thrashing of the cl!toris with a tongue or wet finger. The next lover literally shoved me away from her when I did that... the "money" move on the previous lover absolutely irritated the p!ss out of the next.
So... its true.. oral on a guy might be often better than oral on a woman when you are considering inexperienced lovers... but with experience, oral on a woman, in my opinion, can bring her to orgasm with greater frequency and perhaps set her up for multiples with subsequent intercourse.
A last point... after a great oral session in which I drove a lover to a strong orgasm I asked what I did differently this time.

There is no perfect formula.

My experience is to prefer a balance...
When with a lover who hardly ever performed oral, I missed it dearly...

So... I think a balance is best.
