Will you go out with the guy that your good friend likes?
    Hi all,

I don't know what to do so maybe you guys can help to give some sound advice.

My girl friend likes this guy and she has taken initiatives to strike a conversation with this guy by like facebooking him and texted him over his mobile. But he is not exactly very enthusiastic about her and he did not text her back or didn't continue their conversation over Facebook.

My girl friend likes his appearance and the vibe he gives out. But they don't know each other that well to say that she is really interested. She has sort of given up on him because she feels inferior and knows that he won't like her. But she still thinks of him sometimes.

Recently that guy works around my area and he asked me out for lunch. I don't know if I am interested in him but I mean it is just lunch... I am thinking why not? But I am quite afraid to hurt my friend. I mean this guy is pretty cool and I don't mind getting to know him better and be friends. Or should I just ignore him and just forget about it? I love my friend but deep down I do want to know this guy better... what should I do?

By the way, I told my friend about this and she said its fine with her just that I feel quite guilty... am I thinking too much?

Don't bark up that tree, find a new tree to bark up. Of course she will say it doesn't bother her, that's what a good friend is for, so you be a good friend as well and let this fish go back into the lake.

So you won't even make friends with the guy that your friend likes?

I can't assume that the guy likes me because it is just lunch.

    I wish

Everybody is different, but I would stay away unless your girl friend is absolutely sure that it won't bother her. Chances are it will bother her though.

Obviously the guy has some interest one way or another, or he wouldn't have asked you for lunch.

How would you feel if the roles were reversed? A guy you were into went out to lunch with a really good friend? You would feel betrayed, point blank
