    Well pump trouble
I have a drilled well with a submersible pump. The pressure switch is a 30/50. My pump used to pump up to 50psi easy, but now I can only get it to go to about 45psi. I don't have any leaks. When I cut the pump off it will hold pressure without dropping. Could it be a weak pump. It is 12 years old.

Does pump shut off at 45, or does it keep running and never get higher than 45? If it shuts off at 45, you can adjust the pressure switch so it cut off at 50 again. If pumps keeps running, then you may very well have pump problem(dirty impellers, weak motor, etc.) Please let me know.

The pump will cut off at 44psi because I adjusted the pressure switch, but when it was set to 50psi it would just keep running and would not go over about 46psi

I would bet there is debris at the inlet of the pressure switch.
