    F-1 visa - Tax
I have a friend who is currently on an F-1 visa.

However, she has worked whilst on this visa and recently received the 1099 from her employer. In addition to this she received a 8843 form (from the IRS) which asks her for her visa information.

What would be the best thing for her to do? Should she simply file her taxes and send in this 8843 form? What are the chances she will get caught by immigration for working under F-1 status? Are the IRS and immigration working jointly on matters like this?

This may jeopardize her visa. Discuss this issue with attorney ASAP.
