    H4 & Green Card
I need help with a situation I am facing at this time.

My wife lives overseas and is applying for her H-4 visa. My 6-year limit on H-1B expires in October. My employer has initiated a green card application one year prior to this date so they can apply for an extension to my H-1B.

    My questions are:

    1. Is there any requirement that I (H-1B holder) have to have a valid visa for at least 6 months or anything like that which would give them a reason to reject my wife's H-4 application?

    2. As I am currently in the 1st stage of the Green Card process (Perm). Can my wife be added to the Green Card application through the next stages (I-140 & I-485)? Or do I somehow have to apply separate for her?

    3. If she can be added to my green card application. Will this delay the actual processing time of my application?

    Please advise.
