How to figure total watts available on a circuit
What is the total amount watts that can be safely plugged into a number of 15 amp outlets that are on a 20amp breaker with 12 gauge wire?

    Stratmando

    Volts X Amps = Watts
    120 X 20 = 2400.
    Derate 80% for more than 3 hours(continious)
    2400 X .8 = 1920 Watts.
Anything a standard plug can be plugged into, it can handle.
What are you plugging in? kind of important.
