My chlids father is 40,000 behind in chid support. I have tried everything, my child will be 18 next year , If he is able to stay hidden until then what are my options?

Behind $40,000? I'd call Child Support and demand an explanation as to why his tax refund hasn't been intercepted... assuming, of course, that he files for a tax return.

But if you're worried that he doesn't have to pay once your child reaches 18, don't be. It doesn't matter how old your child is; his financial obligation to assist in raising the child doesn't expire - which is to say, he'll still have to pay whatever the court ordered him to pay.

You say that you have tried everything. What "everything" have you tried and failed at in order to collect?
