I want to open a tire shop. I wqant to try to get government grants to help me get started but I cannot find a website where I don't have to pay for the info I need. WHAT CAN I DO? :confused:

I don't think there are grants for people who want to open a for profit business. Maybe, if you wanted to fix tires for the disadvantaged for free or at greatly reduced prices, you could. That's why people MAKE grants - to help companies HELP the disadvantaged. They're not there to help the company itself...

There ARE, on the other hand, investors willing to take risks on profit making business. You're going to have to do a business plan in any case, so you might as well go after money that you have a chance of getting...

I'm willing to be wrong. But, I don't think I am.
