Hello, I have a 6 1/2 yr old son I am in the need of chnanging his last name he has his father last name and mine, but I only want to change his faters name, the father never has seen him or has any clue who he is I just made a mistake on adding his last name on the birht certificate, I just added his last name but it does not have his name on the birth certificat, when my son was 7 months old I got together with know my husband and he is constantly telling me on changing his last name and adding his last name to my son, I agree on that because my know calls him dad, but my qts is I have no idea where the father is? He might be in mex or some place else, is there going to be a problem on having his last name change, even thought I don't know the whereabout of his bio father:o
