3 days late, no cycle in site
Hi I'm new here, not really used to using the site. I apologize if this has already been posted. If there is please direct me to topic:)
My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on 3/14, my period was due on 3/16. I spotted... literally one spot on 3/17. Now I have discharge and that's it. I felt the regular pms symptoms during 3/12-3/16 but now only my breasts are tender.
    Can one conceive that quick?
    Please help... thank you.

No, you wouldn't conceive that quickly. It sounds like you have PMS.

Anytime a woman has unprotected sex pregnancy is a possibility. If your cycle was off a little and you ovulated near the date of your unprotected sex you could be pregnant.

Yes, pregnancy is possible at any point during the cycle but it actually takes several days for the sperm to reach the egg- so No, she can't be pregnant in 2 days.

You are right, but her breasts could be tender by now if she is pregnant. That can be the earliest first symptom. Tender breasts can happen as early as a few days past fertilization. Or tender breasts can also be a sign of PMS. Time will tell, or a blood test will tell even sooner. Home pregnancy test is another option.

This is also incorrect information as it takes up to 3-5 days for the sperm to reach the egg, then another 3-5 days for the fertilized egg to travel to the uterus where it implants. This earliest first sign of pregnancy is a missed period.

OK but when I got pregnant, my first symptom came before my missed period. My breast was so tender I made a doctor's appointment. Doctor checked my breast, asked when my LMP was and told me it was probably just normal cycle changes but had me come back one week later at which time I was one day late for my period and both breasts where tender. He ran a pregnancy test which showed the reason for my tender breasts was pregnancy. So yeah, you are right too, but my answer is also correct

Sex right before your period is one of the least likely times to get pregnant... it is possible if you happened to ovulate at an off time that cycle, but it's not the norm. Some women do, however, find their periods start a bit earlier or later after having sex right before it was due.
Odds are your period is just off a bit and will start soon. You would need to wait at least a week or more before you could test as, was said, it takes roughly that much time for an egg to get fertilized and implant in the uterus.
See what happens over the next couple of weeks and test if need be. Obviously, if you don't want to become pregnant just yet, always use protection. It's not 100% guaranteed you won't get pregnant, but will greatly lessen the odds.
