    Microwave odour from spill
We had an unfortunate incident were someone set the microwave cook temp too high and the dish of food exploded inside making one awful mess.
I cleaned everything out (I didn't make the mess) with TSP and it looked great, but now it smells from the original mess. I am trying some baking soda in between uses. It works great in refrigerators to eliminate odours. Any other suggestions?

Put vinegar or lemon juice or soapy water in a microwave safe cup and run it to a boil and let it run and boil in there for 2-3 minutes. All 3 have worked for me.

... we just use whichever of the above that we have on hand.

Thanks for your input, I tried your idea but the smell is from burning that has permiated deep inside, possibly even into the plastic.
