The Troybuilt 24hp won't start. Got a new battery and charged it up, nothing. Tried to jump start it, didn't even get a crank out of it. Could it be the ignition, or is something else the problem. Thanks.

Is this a riding mower ?
Yes it is.
Check to make sure that all safety switches. Are not engaged. Such as the blade engaged switch,or the switch, that is on the seat, that you must be sitting in the seat before the starter will engage.
Seems like the safety switches are not engaged.I don't think the mower has a blade engage switch, other than the toggle on the panel. I can't get the lcd readout to come on at all. Do they make new starter switches where the key goes for these mowers? I figured out how to take the starter switch out, but don't know if it needs replacing or not.
Thanks.
What year is the machine? Have you tried to jump the solinoid to see if it will start that way.
It's about four or five years old. I am unsure on how to jump the solenoid, so no, I haven't. Just used jumper cables to jump the battery via the cables, but didn't even get the battery indicator light or hour meter to come on.
