Hoping someone can help me with a plumbing issue...

I am trying to install a new bathroom vanity all on my own and have hit a snag. The faucet is attached to copper piping that runs down to a shut off valve.

My new faucet has the flexible tubing but I can't seem to separate the copper pipe from the coupling at the shut off valve. (I know nothing about plumbing). I tried to use a wrench but it just rotates the whole set up.

Do I have to cut the pipe? Any help you could provide would be a huge help.

Not to worry! There's a nut where the copper supply connects to the angle stop,(see image) Unscrew the nut and the copper pipe comes off. The flexible supplies should have a nut attached to the pipe so all you'll have to cdo is connect the flexible supplies to the angle stop and you're good to go.
