1989 Buick Park Avenue - NO START!
1989 Buick Park Avenue - started fine yesterday; came out of restaurant, car would not start. Wouldn't crank at all, no noise of any kind. No lights, no courtesy lights, no nothing. It was raining hard and friends had another vehicle so we left in that. Am going back today and believe battery connections are most likely culprit. Any other thoughts on what I might check if battery terminal check does not resolve? Battery is 60 days old so it should not be the issue. Thanks for any tips you can provide.

Dead battery, bad battery connections, bad ignition switch, are a few.

. Remove and fully charge the battery--it may have discharged, due to parasitic drain or the alternator having failed. Most auto parts stores will test batteries and alternators for free.

. Clean battery terminals and cables. Afterwards, apply dielectric grease.

. Test all underhood and underdash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

. Check ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.
