Ok I'm 23 years old and I have been through a lot in my life and I got with a guy who was amazing but after a year together things went wrong he turned to beer and beating me but anyhow we now have 2 little boys and he's now in prison and I'm left alone to raise them which I have since day one... anyhow my question is will I ever find someone because its been 2 years I mean I'm not hot or the pretty but that all shouldn't matter I just wonder if I'm always going to be single my kids deserve to have a father figure in there lifes and I feel like I'm letting them down... help and thanks for your time:(

First, I recommend counseling.

Second, you need to take things one day at a time right now, you have a lot on your plate. Think of the two little ones you have looking up to you and all that they have witnessed in their young lives. You really have to work on you, a father figure is not any good to your children if you are dating the same type of garbage as their father.

Start developing yourself esteem, but the first step is counseling.

I think the last thing you should be concerned with is getting into another relationship. It will happen in due time. I understand wanting a father figure for your kids but you have to be very careful with who you chose to bring around your children. Take the time to get to know someone before trusting them enough to be a father figure.

The best gift you can give to your children is to be emotionally healthy and strong for them. Work on yourself and the rest will fall into place.
