    allowable social security benefits
    I receive scial security benefits.I am under the
    normal retirement age.My son receive benefits with me as the person in charge.In otherwords his check is in my name.My son turned 18 years old 12/720.His check began =1/2009 in his name. How do I file taxes on this?

    Try to write this question more clearly.

    Did your son receive SS benefits with the SSA1099 listing his SS number?

    Is he working? If so, how much is he making?

    Yes he received 1099 listing his ss#.No,he is not working andhe is making 0.

    His benefits are non-taxable. You do not include his benefits on your tax return.

    Is he suppos to file a separate IRS FORM(ie;1040 etc)?We paid every expense forhim.He is under 19 and afull time high school student.He never worked.

    You do not file a separate return for him; he is still your dependent and you will claim him on your tax return.
