Are the infomercials on colon cleansing legit or is the whole concept a scam? Thanks. noboat

Scam. The walls of the intestine do not store up black goop that needs to be flushed out.

I think getting a colon cleanse is very beneficial. A couple of years ago I got a bad case of diarrhea. I hadn't eaten in three days because I couldn't keep anything. I kept going to the bathroom over and over again. I was thinking where is this coming from because I hadn't eaten in three days. I believe it was food that was backed up in me. That could have been the only thing it could be.

I think that getting a colon cleanse is a very good idea. You can take one at least once a year. It's not like you have to do it everyday. Also drinking plenty of water and eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables keeps your system flushed out.

If you are taking proper care of yourself, eating well, getting regular exercise your body will do all the cleansing of the colon it needs to on a regular basis. That's what your body is designed to do.
