Kenmore Elite Dryer door pops open
My Kenmore Elite Electric Dryer, model # 110.63932101, pops the door open after a few min of drying the clothes. I tried to lessen the load thinking the clothes are pushing the door open but even when I put two pairs of jeans in the dryer, the dryer stops and the door pops open. I have to keep watching the dryer to see if the door pops, when it does I close the door and turn the dryer on again. If I do not catch it, the timer goes from 50 to 0 with in a min. so it appears as though the dryer completed the cycle but the clothes are wet.
    Any suggestions?

Replace both male and female dryer door catches. Look at Sears parts and put your model number in the box to find the parts for your machine.

Part number 52 and 58 I believe are in a kit form. See the location on this picture.

I installed a sash lock on the outside to hold it closed but still allow for easy opening between loads. Repair cost less than $3.00 and 10 minutes with a drill and screw driver.

I agree with reck234. I ordered replacement door catches but still experience the same problem.

I suspect this might be caused by the back pressure from the dryer blower if the dryer vent ducts are full of lint.
The dryer door popping open in this condition is an important safety feature that you should not defeat by locking the door shut with a latch.
If you do that, heat could build up and it could possibly start a fire. Try cleaning out the vent ducts. That will probably solve the problem.
